CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Charles
George VA Medical Center in Asheville, is sponsoring the
second biennial WNC conference on spinal cord injury
at its new facilities on Saturday, November 5. SCI: Acute
and Chronic Management & Promising Research will
bring together an exciting platform of experts to present
topics that range from onset of injury through recovery.
The 2011 conference, under the direction of David Wheeler,
MD, FAAFP, (a practicing family physician with spinal cord
injury) will open the conference with an overview of the

Dr. Zibin Guo, a professor at UTC and creator of Wheelchair Tai Ji, held a workshop for directors and employees of various facilities for the elderly.
The workshop, hosted by the Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging, was a huge success and Dr. Guo is planning more workshops in the near future.
